About Danube River Cruising

The Danube river is Europe's second longest river, second only to the Volga in Russia. It flows Southeast through 10 countries. Originating in central Germany in the town of Donaueschingen, where it is fed by the Birgach and Berg rivers. From there the Danube takes an Eastern course through Austria and Slovakia, until it reaches Hungary where it turns South. The Southern trajectory continues through Serbia before turning East again. It cuts through Romania and Bulgaria before emptying out into the Black Sea at the Danube Delta.
